It is that time of year..... Yes, you know what I am talking about
Pumpkin spice everything, blankets, falling leaves, cool air and all the fun things! Do you love this time of year as much as I do? Something about Fall makes me feel more festive and just over all comfortable! One of our favorite things about Fall is of course all of the DIY/crafty projects! From Fall to Christmas our homes transform into the DIY making headquarters! We are always looking for things that are unique, adorable and something that all the crafter's in our family would love to do!

One of our favorite projects every year is our Unicorn Pumpkin Canvas Painting project!

Everyone from the young to the more mature adults love this one. We do it every year and it never gets old.... actually gets better! We have created so many different versions of the unicorn pumpkin that it has now become a yearly contest with quiet the competition..... something similar to cupcake wars! We have had shabby chic pumpkins, cheetah pumpkins, character inspired pumpkins, coastal pumpkins, scary pumpkins and so much more! Every year this event just gets better and better! One of the best parts about this party is these pumpkins do not ever rot and they last all season long with no extra care needed!

If you have a family gathering or a virtual meeting or a fall party coming up and you are looking for something fun, unique, festive and creative for everyone to do.... then we highly recommend you throw your own paint a pumpkin canvas painting party ( or contest!) You might just be surprised at how fun it turns out to be!

You can order the entire kit of supplies and instructional video to be shipped to your door (or each participants) here or you can order just the instructional video only and use all of your own supplies here!

We are sure you are going to have a painting party blast and would love for you to share your pictures or other fun fall party DIY ideas with us below!

You need to Clean & Prepare Your
Furniture before you paint.

It is typically not the most fun part of the project, but it is important if you want to eliminate any headaches later in the process of painting your used furniture or cabinets. Over time, used furniture is going to acquire some dirt and some abuse.

So make sure it is ready to go before you open that jar of paint.

I have been handed down plenty of pieces of furniture in the years. Or I just found some great finds while driving through my neighborhood. If you have been painting furniture for anytime you cannot beat a free piece of furniture to throw some paint on and make it new again.
